MTA AND TWU PLAY SCROOGE THIS HOLIDAY

Here we go with a damned transit strike, less than a week before Christmas. I hope that the union gets what they want as they are inconveniencing everybody else. There are going to be some serious repercussions behind this. My club dates are up in the air as club owners debate if it is worth openining up, since most people go to the clubs on public transportation. That means that I won't make my money, and have to spend more money, so that the transit workers can get their money. I don't feel as though I should be hed hostage, in this situation I have to pay for taxis to go to work. 30 bucks a day roundtrip, not including luch or any other things that I spend on. Not to mention the fact that I have a metrocard that will be useless when this shit is over with. Unless the MTA is going to give up an extension, which I seriously doubt. The TWU and the MTA have to watch out, as they are both screwing the public, royally. Neither side has bargained in good faith or realistically as far as I can see. I gave up my car 3 years ago, as it became harder to pay my 1000 dollar rent and for a car too. New York City is not a friendy city for middle class people,as we are always getting screwed. Don't bend over you'll get the shock of our life! I am considering moving out and I love it here, but now you are stressed to make ends meet and save a little money, too. Impossible. Mayor Bloomberg has no sentiment for working people and the rent being charged here; MOSTLY OUT OF GREED, NOT NEED! He had the nerve to say that we should be happy that he rent increase wasn't more than what they decided upon. Remember, since 911 we have had not one year of a moratorium on rent increases, having to shel out as the city's economy tanked.
