BACK FROM MY TRIP TO SANTO DOMINGO

Well, well, well, I am reluctantly back from my vacation in the Dominican Republic. I again had the opportunity to play at club Arena. I was well received, again. I played a lot of American music, and the crowd loved it. I played house, and a bit of hip hop. They appreciate the music, as it is a change from what they normally listen to. I played the more masinstream popular hip hop. Reggaeton is their hip hop, because it is better understood, because of the Spanish lyrics. I also had the pleasure of haging out with my very good friend, Cristopher. That was Friday noght. On Saturday night, I had the pleasure of going to San Cristobal, with Christopher and his friend Manuel We were going to what I thought was a house party. We ended up going to his friend's bodega and hanging out. In the barrio, on the weekend, every one gets dressed up and hangs out at the corner store, buying beer and liquor. I took some pictures and ended up having a crowd of young kids wanting their pictures taken. They were fascinated by the lcd display, and being able to see the picture right away. We hung out until about 4a.m. and then went back to Santo Domingo, to the house for some sleep. At the top is a picture of Christopher and his friends. 7 of us in a Honda civic???? Good it wasn't a long ride!

BAHIAN HEAT

Now that we are well on our way to a wonderful summer and an upcoming vacation, we need to consider where we might go. Brazil sounds like a sure bet to me. Especially when you can enjoy it with a group of people who share your interests and have been there before to show you around. WHITE PARTY MOONLIGHT CRUISE

It has been a minute, since I have updated or logged any entries in this blog. Between my day job and my night time activities, I have been a wee bit busy; to say the least. It's all good though! I would really have something to worrry about if I was not busy. Actually, Ii enjoy the hustle and bustle. I would'n have it any other way. Now that Memorial Day(D.C. Pride), N.Y. Pride and the 4th of July(L.A. Beach Party) have passed, I can move on to other things, like "Pride In The City"(nyc's black pride) Now it is time, once again, for the Annual White Party moonlight cruise around New York. Last year, it was off the chain. This year will be the same as we are on "The Spirit of New York" on August 4, 2006. That is Pride in the City and Black Pride weekend in N.Y. I will once again have the pleasure of working it out along with a new dj, "Mike da Wizard", who plays at a new gay latino party in Washington Heights. You have to check out that party. Hot!!! The cruise will be one of casual class and elegance. If you have never had the chance to experience this event, then now is the time to make it happen. I also want to remind you about Bahian Heat, coming up soon. I had the chance to experience Dominican Island Heat 1 and earlier this year, i had the pleasure of spinnig at Dominican Island Heat 2.
