LANGSTON'S THURSDAYS

I went out to the club with my friend DJ Unknown. Chilled for the night at the club. Nice crowd there. A guy had a sheet cake there to celebrate his birthday. The stripper show was off the hook. They had a good selection of dancers there that night and they did their thing. The crowd that was there was a little different than usual as they really wanted to party. I hung out as it wasn't my night to spin, and I had a very good time. Being on the other side of the turntables for a minute, and experiencing the club from the patrons point of view. There was a lot of interaction with people that night which is what made the difference, with the party. No one was stand offish or stuck on themselves. I left the party and went straight to work at 5A.M. You know what kind of day I was going to have since I was going into my second day without sleep.

FLY LIFE PARTY IN JERSEY CITY

Went out to Fred Pierce's new soiree in J.C. Rode with DJ Unknown, as it was his birthday on Monday. I used to hang out all over Jersey City, so it wasn't hard finding the club. With all of the familiar New York heads I saw going into this building, I knew we had found the right spot. Lovely crowd inside and all three floors were bangin'. Hip hop in the basement and house music on the upper level. The main floor was alive with peeps socializing. Lots of cuties in the club yo It was cold as hell outside, but the dolls were falling in. The funny thing about it is that there were many Bklyn heads at the party and we did a party in Bklyn and could't get so many to come out They would rather travel across the river. Go figure. DJ Ken Terry was bangin' out the house tunes and J mark James was in the hip hop room. Crowde, dark, and frisky. Just the way I like it. I saw a lot of peopleI had't seen in a minute, so it was like a reunion for me. I love the notoriety and attention of being a dj and entertainer.
The Fly Life Party is a Wednesday night event but since it was a holiday weekend they were doing a special Sunday night party. The vibe was very good in this space and I would like to go check it out on it's regular night. Left at closing which in J.C. is 2:30, and shot through the tunnel back to Manhattan and to the village. Went to Luke and Leroy's for a ot inute and hung out with DJ Mk. She is a female dj and a very good one at that. Have to give her her props. Mk plays at a lot of venues in NYC. I saw my friend Chris who is the bartender there. The boy is hot! You have to see him in action on the bar. He was topless that night so I know his tip jar was full! Well we ended up leaving there and going back to bklyn. I ran to my job and Unknown went home.

OCTAGON FRIDAYS

Last night I went to the club Octagon in manhattan. It was cold as a bitch outside and I had to take the train. MTA sucks as their trains were not running at their best last night. It took me 2 hours to get to the club. I walked in there around 2:30a.m. in the morning. I was greeted warmly by everybody as I haven't been out in a minute. I had to let the kids know that I had not fallen off of the face of the earth. It was a very good time, hanging out with DJ Unknown and watching him work. I have seen him work before as we have worked together but this is my friend so it's never too much. The crowd was okay. Sort of out of it from what I could see. Maybe from the holidays and all the constant partying. We left the club about 5:25a.m. and I went to work. I will play at the Octagon again, in the near future. Just have been so busy with all the stuff that I have been doing lately. I will be playing in the Dominican Republic for Dominican Island Heat 2 which is March 1 thru the 6th. I will be there till the 10th as I will be visiting my friend and spending some quality time with him. I am waiting to see what happens with Winter Explosion 2006 and if I am working for that, too.

I THOUGHT I JUST LEFT WORK..... JAN 2, 2006

I went to see my father yesterday, as he is still in the hospital. I ran into my sister and my brother and his family I had gotten a call from a friend of mine whom I had not seen in 4 years, since he last danced at the Bklyn Cafe. Said he stoped stripping ad had is lover with him, whom it turns out was on the stage dancing with Angie Stone when she performed at the Bklyn Cafe during pride of 2002 or was it 2003. I spoke with djUnknown who went to Wash, D.C. to play at the Edge for New Year's Eve. He was waiting to hit the highway back to New York, so he could get home and some rest. I left the hospital and went home. Dasean and Angel came over Kerry was out cold on the sofa with his mouth open. Dasean took his picture like that. Well..... I got the word that all of my friends parties were good over the weekend. Nice way to start the New Year, with money in your pocket! I may start up my own production soon, too. I am burning music to cd so that I can switch over and not be so dependent upon records. I am also burning mucic because I will be playing in the Dominican Republic and I have not seen a club over there with turntables, so I have to have cds. Dominican Island Heat is the name of the production and this is their second year. Last year was really nice, and I was afforded the opportunity to attend. This year I am going back as one of their djs, and I am honored to do so. I am also waiting to see what is up with Winter Explosion 2006, which happens during the holiday weekend in February. I usually do that event so I await word on whetehr I am working or not. Hell, I just left this job and this computer a day agao and I am right back here as though i haven't left!
